About Me
I am originally from South Dakota and became involved in production when I was quite young due to my parent’s careers in music and television related fields. Although I lived in a small town, I was fortunate to travel extensively while growing up and visited every state before starting my professional career in production. I started working with live sound equipment and large format audio consoles in the early 90’s. My interest in sound continued and upon moving to Minneapolis in 1994 I started working in television production. During the late 90’s Dateline NBC was my primary broadcast client while working alongside Minneapolis DP Mark Hentges.
I first visited Peru in 2003 while documenting the work of a NGO. As fate would have it met my wife who is from Peru in Minneapolis a couple weeks later. I am currently working out of both Lima and Minneapolis, traveling as needed to provide services. I’ve worked out a rate structure that allows me to do this a no extra cost to my clients.
Over the years I have acquired sound for hundreds of clients in many unbelievable situations and environments. During hurricanes, after earthquakes, -40° in MN and 126° in the Atacama Desert. All assignments are unique, which is why I continue to enjoy my work.
