Canon 5d MkII. HDSLR now part of my equipment package in Lima, Peru and Minneapolis.
If you haven’t shot video on a full frame sensor camera like the Canon 5d MkII yet, you will soon. The quality and flexibility are incredible and it allows you to capture images in a way that you were not able to previously without a truck full of camera cases. I’ve had it for a couple months now and am totally sold on the format. The ability to use the full range of Canon lenses as well as lenses from other manufactures is awesome. Zeiss is now making a set of prime lenses for this camera as well. I have the 16-35mm f2.8 L, the 24-105mm f4 L and a 70-200mm f2.8. I’ve found this set to be very versatile from super wide to close.
I’m looking forward to spending a lot of time looking through this viewfinder.
I’ll be posting more samples from the 5d as I get projects edited;)
As many of you know the season finale of House was filmed on a 5d MkII. If those that are skeptical about the quality of the video this makes a huge statement that the most popular series on television would put their trust in a HDSLR (switching from 35mm film) for their finale.
